Job Summary

The Administrative Assistant provides administrative support for the department.

Essential Job Functions

  • Answers telephone for the department;
  • Completes requests by greeting customers, in person, or on the telephone;
  • Answers or refers inquiries;
  • Compiles correspondence and reports as requested;
  • Assists in the Department payroll;
  • Accepts, receives, and/or collects payments;
  • Prepares and/or processes purchase orders;
  • Performs inventory and property management to ensure supply needs are met;
  • Assists with job applications;
  • Assists with the preparation of the annual department budget;
  • Monitors expenditures under the current budget;
  • Establishes and maintains department filing system;;
  • Maintains department schedule by maintaining calendars for department personnel;
  • Arranging inspections, meetings, conferences, teleconferences, and travel.


Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED;
  • One (1) year of experience in a related field;
  • Or equivalent training, education, and/or experience; and 
  • Valid State of Georgia Driver’s License.

Preferred Qualification -

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite;
  • Strong working knowledge of Google Platforms;
  • (3) Three years of Administrative experience;
  • Notary Public certification.
