Glynn County Board of Commissioners is seeking qualified applicants for the position of E-911 Director. Reporting to the Joint Public Safety Communications Department Oversight Committee (JPSCD), the 911 Director is responsible for the staffing, supervision, direction, training and administration of the Glynn-Brunswick 911 Center.
Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Telecommunications, or closely related field; supplemented by five (5) previous experience and/or training that includes progressively responsible management of a multi-agency public safety communications center. Must possess and maintain valid CPR/First Aid certification. Must possess and maintain valid N.C.I.C. and G.C.I.C. Terminal Agency Coordinator (TAC) certification. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license. Public Safety Communications Certifications are strongly preferred including but not limited to one or more of the following: NENA’s Emergency Number Professional (ENP) Center Manager Certification Program (CMCP), IAED’s Communication Center Manager (CCM), APCO’s Certified Public Safety Executive (CPE), Registered Public Safety Leader Program (RPL), and Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD).
