Deputy City Clerk
This position performs a wide variety of administrative duties in support of city activities including but not limited to; utility billings for water, sewer and garbage services; accounts receivable, accounts payable, building permits, business licenses, work orders, dealing with residents and the public; and general office type activities.
Prior experience is preferred. Must have a valid Georgia Driver’s License, a high school diploma or equivalent GED. Must be able to operate general office equipment; maintain a neat and clean appearance, communicate with public; maintain records of the city; use common sense problem solving; pass a drug/alcohol test; ability to be professional in interaction with public, coworkers and elected officials This position is usually required to sit, walk and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds and must be able to perform in an office environment.
Starting salary is $17.50 - $19.00 (dependent upon experience) per hour along with employer paid health, dental, vision, life, long term disability insurance and retirement benefits. Working hours are from 8:00 am - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
