Salary: $73,131.00 annually
Purpose of Classification:
The purpose of this classification is to administer the daily operations of a unit within the Office of the Clerk of Superior and Magistrate Courts. Responsibilities include assisting with general management and oversight of assignment-related departmental functions, assisting in developing and implementing policies and procedures, overseeing work of assigned staff, and serving as the principal advisor to the Chief Deputy Clerk. Assistant Chief Deputy Clerk is also responsible for managing the Human Resources division in his/her absence.
Bachelor’s Degree (preferably a master’s degree) in business, public administration, human resources or a related field required, and four (4) years of professional experience in a human resources related field and (3) years’ experience supervising staff in a division or multiple work units within a public or private sector organization or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform requisite duties of the job.
Specific License or Certification Required: Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and Affirmation as a sworn Deputy Clerk of the Court. Certification in one or more of the following is preferred: CPM, Six Sigma, PMP, SPHR, SHRM, IPMA, in addition to valid Georgia driver’s license.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities:
Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in performance of the essential functions and learn, comprehend, and apply all county or departmental policies, practices, and procedures necessary to function effectively in the position.
