POSITION TITLE: Receptionist, Part-Time FY22-26DEPARTMENT: Public Defender
ENTRY SALARY: Negotiable based on qualifications and experience
JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for providing clerical and customer service support for office operations. Answers telephone and greet visitors; provides information and assistance; refers to appropriate personnel. Processes closed case files. Processes 911 calls and video recordings pertinent to client files. Opens and closes case management files. Makes appointments for clients to meet with attorneys. Reviews applications to determine eligibility. Prints warrants and incident reports. Opens juvenile cases. Performs related duties.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to read, write and perform mathematical calculations at a level commonly associated with the completion of high school or equivalent. Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/ internship or having had a similar position for one to two years.
