The Jackson County Water and Sewerage Authority, located in Jefferson, GA, is seeking to fill the position of Procurement Clerk. The applicant must, at a minimum, be a Certified Local Government Finance Offer Level 1, or have ability to obtain the certification within 18 months of employment with the Authority. A successful applicant will have a high school diploma or GED, a valid Georgia driver license with a clean driving record, and a basic knowledge of accounting. The successful candidate will have experience with computer applications to include a proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Word & Excel. In addition to an appropriate technical background, the applicant shall have the ability to deal tactfully and courteously with the general public.
The primary duties of the position include, but are not limited to, administer the procurement duties of JCWSA, as well as, administer vendor set up, inventory control, administer building maintenance, and contract management as needed.
