Job Summary

Under administrative direction of the City Administrator, provides advanced level administrative support to the City Administrator, the Executive Management Team, Mayor, and City Council as needed.  Plans, coordinates, and participates in various programs and administrative operations and activities including those having a city-wide impact; performs a wide variety of responsible, confidential, and complex administrative, technical, and analytical work; prepares a variety of fiscal, administrative, and operational reports; and serves as a liaison with other City departments, outside agencies, and the public.

Minimum Qualifications

Any combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job qualifies.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in public or business administration, political science, communication, or a related field. 
  • Five (5) years of increasingly responsible high level administrative/executive support experience.  Experience in public sector is preferred.
  • Ability to attend occasional meetings outside the regular work (nights and weekends) schedule as needed.
  • Possession (or be able to obtain within 30 days of hire), and ability to maintain, a valid driver’s license.
