Serving under the supervision of the DeKalb County Board of Registration & Elections, this department is charged with maintaining the Electors List for all registered voters in DeKalb and the conduct of elections for the county and municipalities located within the county. Working closely with Voter Registration and Elections Executive Director, this position relieves executive staff of routine administrative tasks — screening calls, mail, and email messages and initiating appropriate action — and manages correspondence, records and transcribes dictation, spearheads special projects, and maintains the confidentiality of departmental documentation and issues. The successful candidate will conduct advanced research to aid in matters under consideration, compile administrative and statistical data focused on County operations, prepare reports and presentations, handle and organize various records, and recommend changes in organizational policies and procedures to improve processes.

DeKalb County is searching for an experienced and trustworthy administrative professional eager to help the organization’s Voter Registration and Elections Department perform at its best. Candidates for this position will need exceptional organizational and technical skills in email management and presentation development. They will be trustworthy, bringing high energy and optimism to the role. The right fit will be wise and emotionally intelligent, a reliable and responsible self-starter who can think on their feet and see the big picture while remaining detail-oriented. This position requires an associate degree in office systems technology or administration with a bachelor’s degree preferred and five years of progressively responsible experience in secretarial work at an executive/senior level, office administration, customer service, or records management. Experience in the public sector is preferred, but any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job will be considered. The successful candidate must also maintain a valid Georgia driver’s license.

DeKalb County is offering a salary range of $63,902-77,684 for this position and a generous benefits package.
