Listing Summary

 Through the Chain of Command to the GIS Special Projects Manager, this position is responsible for administering the "one stop shop" building permitting activities for the City of Winder. The Development Project Manager serves as the customer liaison for all permitting matters associated with high density residential and commercial construction projects within the City of Winder under the general direction and supervision of the GIS Special Projects Manager. Work involves reviewing applications for licenses, permit applications, and subdivision plats for approval, logging information into computer, maintaining records, and providing information and assistance to customers and the public regarding zoning and other activities of the department. Work is performed in conjunction with members of all city departments, and under the supervision and direction of the Director of Planning and Development. 

 Licenses and Certifications Required:

• Valid Georgia Driver's license and able to maintain a good driving record. 
• Attend one (1) Georgia Association of Business Tax Officials (GABTO) training per year. 
• Notary Public within six (6) months of hire. 

Qualifications:

• High school graduation or equivalent. 
• Two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in customer service/clerical experience, including interacting with the public, preparing and maintaining a variety of records and/or documents. 
• Two years of experience in permitting, drafting, real estate, paralegal, or other related work with a transferrable skill set. Any combination of work and educational experience is acceptable. 
• Never been convicted of a felony.
• A citizen of the United States or has obtained legal work status. 
• Must be able to pass a credit check. 
• Work evenings, weekends and/or holidays as required.
