Job Summary:  Under the administrative direction of the Presiding Judge of the Juvenile Court and the Superior Court Administrator, you will plan, organize, and supervise all activities and operations of the Juvenile Court, including ensuring that staff adheres to Court and County policies and procedures, applicable laws, and the Uniform Juvenile Court Rules. With your knowledge of the criminal justice system and Juvenile Court operations, you will use the available resources for juveniles to work for the best interest of the juvenile and the community. You will manage the fiscal and administrative functions of the Juvenile Court, assess budget requirements, prepare and oversee the Court’s budgets, including grants budgets, and monitor purchases and financial transactions to ensure compliance with the approved budget. You will represent Juvenile Court on community committees and advisory groups and before the Board of Commissioners. You will handle all business matters of the Court. Your outstanding communication and customer service skills are needed as you work with department staff and the public. You will exercise good judgment at all times, often under stressful situations. Other duties may be assigned by the judges or the Superior Court Administrator.

Minimum Qualifications:  Bachelor’s Degree and at least five (5) years’ experience in public administration, business administration, social work, child welfare, probation, or a closely related field; or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training. Substantial experience in supervising and evaluating personnel is required, as is experience administering a large budget, including the ability to secure and compile financial/operational data, prepare and analyze reports, and create charts or other informative documents.  You must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
