This position is responsible for performing a variety of un-skilled and semi-skilled duties associated with the construction, installation, repair and maintenance of sewer services, mains, man holes and related infrastructures under city obligation.  This position helps ensure the safe and efficient maintenance and completion of utility and public works projects.  Operate a variety of equipment, machinery and tools used in department projects and activities, which includes shovels, jackhammers, hand held tools, etc.  Performs general cleaning/maintenance tasks necessary to keep vehicles, equipment and tools in operable condition.  Respond to emergency situations as needed.  Perform traffic flagging activities to assist with traffic control.  Perform all work duties and activities in accordance with city policies and procedures and supervisory instructions; work in a safe manner and report unsafe activities, conditions and faulty equipment.  Assist in the operation of a sewer camera system.  Perform related duties as assigned.
