The Heart of Georgia Altamaha Regional Commission is seeking to fill the position of Regional Planner. This position is responsible for assisting local governments in areas of community planning, economic development, local laws and ordinances, hazard mitigation planning, personnel management, environmental issues, transportation planning, historic preservation, and grant preparation and administration. This position requires a talented individual who can engage collaboratively with local governments in a professional, resourceful, trustworthy, accountable, efficient, and innovative manner as well as work in a team environment.

Qualified applicants should, at a minimum, have a bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Public Policy, Urban Planning or related field from an accredited college or university. A master's degree in Public Administration, Public Policy or Urban Planning is preferred.

The Heart of Georgia Altamaha Regional Commission provides services to 17 counties and 62 cities with offices located in Eastman and Baxley, Georgia.
