The City of Oglethorpe is seeking a full-time Utilities & Street Superintendent. The individual selected for this position will be responsible for the direct supervision of personnel in those departments in which are included, but not limited to, the maintenance and repair of municipal infrastructure, equipment, and grounds along with the collection of limbs, trash and debris from city streets. Some direct involvement in the execution of these tasks, including heavy lifting, may be required. This is a salaried position, the nature of which may require working odd hours, holidays and/or weekends. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, a good driving history, and must pass a drug test. Applicants must possess good skills in both personnel and departmental finance management.
