ASBESTOS ABATEMENT

The Ware County Board of Commissioners is accepting sealed bids from qualified contractors for the asbestos removal of a vacant Ware County office building referred to as the old Ware County IT Building at 805 Grove Street, Waycross, Georgia 31501 until October 24, 2023 at 2:00PM. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.  NO FAXED BIDS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

Asbestos assessment has been completed to identify the Asbestos-Containing Materials (ACMs) present at the old Ware County IT Building.  A copy of the asbestos assessment report [Preston Geotechnical Consultants, LLC report dated June 13, 2023.  This report is part of the complete bid specifications.  Ware County is only bidding asbestos removal from licensed asbestos contractors.  After the removal of the asbestos by the licensed asbestos abatement contractor, Ware County will complete demolition of the structure.

No bidder may withdraw their bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of bid opening.
