WHAT'S YOUR DAY LIKE?

In this entry-level role, you will attend a POST (Peace Officers Standards and Training) approved basic police academy. Under the close supervision of experienced professionals, you will develop the technical knowledge, essential skills, and physical capabilities required to excel in the field of police service. After the successful completion of the basic academy you will be sworn in as a Georgia certified police officer.

WHAT'S NEEDED FROM YOU?

We're looking for someone who can ultimately work an 84-hour schedule while meeting the following qualifications:

  • US Citizen
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Georgia driver's license
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Insurable driving record, class C
  • Ability to hear within the normal audible range with or without correction
  • 20/20 vision with or without correction
  • No felony convictions
  • No marijuana use in the last three years
  • No illegal drug usage
  • Physical fitness and agility test
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to uphold the highest standards of integrity and professionalism
