Job Summary

Full Time, (56 hours per week)

This is skilled work in performing fire prevention, fire suppression and emergency response activities.  Employee performs all duties of a certified firefighter.  Emergency and rescue activities are performed with the added credential of an emergency medical technician (EMT thru Paramedic) level provider.  This classification has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or General Educational Development Certificate (GED)
  • Must have no felony convictions within the past ten (10) years.
  • Successful completion of Basic 101 Firefighter (120 hours) of the Georgia Fire Academy, and meeting all requirements set forth by the Georgia Firefighters Training and Standard Council
  • Registered with National Registry EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic, State of Georgia EMT, AEMT, Paramedic license preferred

Employment is contingent on passing a mandatory physical agility, GCIC/NCIC, physical/drug screen, MVR, and psychological assessment

Salary:  $47,010.75 – $55,747.91 annual ($16.14 – 19.14 Hourly), full benefit package
