The City of Suwanee, GA is recruiting for a Public Works Director. The Public Works Director is responsible for the development and maintenance of the public infrastructure of the City including the traditional areas of public works such as roads, drainage, sidewalks, parks, buildings and grounds and a cemetery.
The City of Suwanee is in Gwinnett County along the I-85 corridor, located 30 miles north of Atlanta.
The City has an award winning downtown with successful retail and restaurants, diverse housing, great schools and a family atmosphere. Suwanee is a safe, inviting and engaged community, providing every amenity you would expect from a premier community in metro Atlanta.
The City has 130 employees across 5 departments. The FY 2024 budget is nearly $18M and this full-service city provides its residents with a full slate of traditional government services.
The Public Works Director reports directly to the City Manager and is a key member of the leadership team. The City of Suwanee is a unique place and has a dynamic culture that that relies on outstanding leaders to provide exceptional service and think outside the box. The expected salary range for this position is $115,000 - $130,000.
