NOW HIRING:

Street Supervisor – (Salary Range $47,165 - $49,071) This position is responsible for supervising and participating in the construction of city streets and related infrastructure.

Major Duties

• Plans and organizes daily work assignments.
• Assesses work orders and develops associated work plans and strategies.
• Supervises and participates in the construction of driveways; finishes concrete; spreads asphalt.
• Operates a trackhoe to grade ditches.
• Enforces safe work practices.
• Reviews work to ensure compliance with department policies and procedures.
• Operates a variety of equipment, including front-end loader, backhoe, and dump truck.
• Establishes safe work zones; instructs employees in traffic flagging principles.
• Transports equipment and supplies to and from job sites.
• Purchases materials and equipment.
• Supervises and participates in the maintenance of vehicles and equipment; performs pre- and post-trip vehicle and equipment inspections.
• Supervises and evaluates assigned personnel.
• Performs related duties.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• More than five years of related experience required.
• Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
• Possession of a valid State of Georgia Class A or B CDL driver’s license.
