Listing Summary

The Coastal Regional Commission (CRC) is accepting applications for Executive Director to replace their Executive Director who is retiring after 16 years of successful service.  The selected individual will serve as the Chief Executive Officer of the CRC, serving at the pleasure of the Council, and will be responsible for the planning and administration of various programs, their budgets, and personnel in accordance with the adopted Budget and Work Program. The CRC Council is comprised of 39 members representing 10 counties and 36 municipalities.  The CRC has 110 employees that service the region with aging, transportation, planning, GIS, and other governmental services.

Candidate must have a Degree in Regional and City Planning, Public Administration, Finance, or a related field, Master’s preferred, but not required. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of five–seven years of progressively responsible managerial experience. This experience should include program development, personnel management, and extensive dealings with local government, regional, state, and federal agencies.  The ideal candidate should also possess strong professional presentation and leadership skills, financial management skills, and a full understanding of the services the CRC provides.

The starting salary for the Executive Director is set by the CRC Council and will be market competitive, based on experience and qualifications.
