The City of Lake Park is seeking a full-time Deputy Clerk. City Hall is a multi-dimensional work environment, with excellent opportunities to grow and learn. The Deputy Clerk provides efficient, customer-focused, high quality administrative services that support the City’s functions and operations. The Clerk’s Deputy assists the City Clerk in the operations of the Clerk’s office, including business licensing, alcohol licensing, utility billing, building permits, zoning applications, preparing and distributing Council packets for meetings, assist the public with general questions, record requests, meeting schedules, etc in person and over the phone, receiving and posting payments for utilities and citations, reconciling cash drawer, entering invoices for payments and other duties as assigned. The successful applicant will possess a working knowledge of computer systems and MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook, strong oral and written communication skills, ability to work well in a small office setting, perform at a high level of autonomy with general supervision, and maintain a friendly, professional attitude. Team mentality is a must. Local Government and/or Municipal Court experience is a plus.
