JOB SUMMARY:

 

Participate in the technical support of all Northeastern Judicial Court System infrastructure servers, network devices, Active Directory enabled workstations and laptops, and end user office productivity applications and Court Systems Information specific infrastructure software.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (All responsibilities may not be performed by all incumbents)

 

  • Maintaining computer systems including software and hardware on desktops and laptops
  • Resolving Internet and network access issues (both wired and wireless), providing network printer support and determining causes of computer/software/network malfunctions
  • Act as technical lead in providing guidance and mentorship to Court Information Services team
  • Identify current end-user and infrastructure challenges and provide technical innovating solutions to resolve short-term and long term business issues.
  • Organize and maintaining inventory records and documentation for IT equipment
  • Contribute to the creation and updating of Northeastern Judicial Court Information Services technical documentation and participate in policy, procedure, and standards development.
  • Participate, as a team member, to implement assigned projects that change and enhance the court Information system network.
  • Work with Hall County Information services team to coordinate the joint effort in resolving outstanding end user issues.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

 

Education and Experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
  • 3– 5 years of experience with Microsoft Windows Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policies
  • 1- 3 years of experience with network equipment ( Switching & Wi-Fi)
  • 1- 3 years of having either: cloud technologies, server infrastructure, virtualization
  • 1 – 2 years of experience with conference and courtroom audio and visual equipment
  • Stay up to date with current technologies by achieving industry wide IT certifications in Microsoft, VMWare, and other Court System technologies.

Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the minimum level of qualifications stated above.

 

Licenses and Certifications:

 

Minimum of one of the following required:

  • CCNA
  • MCSE

 

Valid class C Driver’s License and satisfactory motor vehicle record.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

 

  • Knowledge of network management concepts.
  • Knowledge of PCs and operating systems and software including but not limited to Windows 11, Server 2016, Server 2019
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Server and Windows Active Directory.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to design and develop systems and document procedures.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to use systematic approach in solving complex problems.

 

ADA MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Physical Ability: Essential functions of this position continuously require the ability to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing); operate a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copier, and printer. Incumbents must continuously be able to think analytically; handle stress and emotion, concentrate on tasks, remember names and other details; examine and observe details; make decisions, and adjust to change. Incumbents must also continuously direct others; meet deadlines; stay organized; use math/calculations and use a keyboard/type.

 

Essential Functions frequently require the ability to move about inside the office; and move/transport items up to 10lbs.

 

Essential functions occasionally require the ability to bend body downward and forward by bending spine and legs, and twisting at the waist, hips or knees; reach overhead; push or pull; and repetitively use hands/arms/legs. Incumbents in this position are occasionally required to be on-call and work irregular hours.

 

Sensory Requirements:  Essential functions regularly require the ability to use effective verbal and written communication; and use of hand/eye coordination and fine manipulation to use equipment.

 

 

Environmental Factors: Essential functions of this position continuously require the ability to either work with others or work alone.
