Plan Reviewer/Inspector
Morgan County Board of Commissioners is accepting applications for a Plan Reviewer/Inspector for the Planning and Development Department. This position reviews residential and commercial building plans, development plans, and erosion, sediment, and pollution control plans for compliance with all federal, state, and local codes. This includes all applicable County ordinances and regulations, adopted building codes, fire codes, life safety codes, flood ordinances, accessibility codes, fair housing requirements, etc.
Applicants must have at a minimum a high school diploma, a college degree or technical diploma in a related field preferred, and a minimum of four years’ experience in plan review or inspections.
Must be certified in the following or have the ability to obtain such certifications within six months of hire date: Plans Examiner as issued by the International Codes Conference (ICC), Residential and/or Commercial Inspector, level 1B inspector, and level 2 plan reviewer for erosion, sedimentation, and pollution control plans.
Applicants are subject to a background check, a seven-year driver's record review, and drug screening.
