The City of Stockbridge has an employment opportunity for a Grants Administrator in the City Manager’s department. This position will oversee and administer all City of Stockbridge grant funds received from Federal, State, and local agencies. Responsibilities include coordination with various receiving departments to ensure financial and programmatic compliance with stipulated grant regulations; and assisting City departments in preparing grant applications and proposals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities are:
• Assists City departments in preparing grant applications and proposals, reviews and submits
for review and approval from the procurement division and procurement documents
supported by grant funds for compliance prior to submission.
• Analyzes financial information for accuracy and compliance with grant regulations and city
policies; ensure commitments of city funds are approved prior to submission.
• Reviews and approves Agenda Summary information prior to submission to the City
Manager's Office; and reviews agenda procurement documents involving grant funding.
• Facilitates the preparation of programmatic and financial reports required by federal, state,
and non-profit agencies: reviews grant award agreements for reporting requirements, budget
stipulations, and special terms/conditions.
• Coordinates thru Finance the accounting structure for grant awards; maintains schedule of
required reports and due dates; reviews and approves grant financial and reimbursement
reports, grant funded payment vouchers, and transfers of funds to grant accounts; and
maintains access to grant related electronic reporting systems.
• Pursues new grant and program funding from federal and state agencies and serves as city
liaison to agencies providing grant funding; coordinates audit efforts for grant programs
communicates with granting agencies on financial and programmatic issues.
• Oversees completion of all grant reporting requirements; coordinates thru the City Manager
the hiring of consultants to conduct audits; prepares draft audit reports for auditors; facilitates
corrective action plans to address deficiencies identified through site visits, audits, and other
monitoring activity.
• Coordinates with city departments on information required by consultants; reviews data and
information submitted by departments for consultants; ensures submission of audit reports to
Federal and State agencies by mandated due date; and ensures submission of Federal
Funding Accountability and Transparency Act (FFATA) reporting.
• Communicates with Treasurer, department heads, outside agencies, and other individuals as
needed to coordinate work activities, review status of work, exchange information, or resolve
problems.
• Maintains a current, comprehensive knowledge and awareness of applicable laws,
regulations, principles, and practices relating to grant management/administration; reads
reposted 3.01.2024
• professional literature; maintains professional affiliations; and attends meetings, workshops,
hearings, training sessions, and webinars and training seminars conducted by granting
agencies as required.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in accounting, business or public administration or
a related field required; supplemented by three to five years of experience in monitoring and
coordinating governmental grant programs, including education, training, and experience which
provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Salary will be commensurate
with experience.
Specific License or Certification Required:
Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia Drivers License
