Accounts Payable - Marietta

Purpose of the Position: Under direct supervision, performs a wide range of paraprofessional accounting and fiscal control functions, such as accounts payable and receivable, payroll preparation, budget monitoring or related general accounting processes. May research, investigate, and/or resolve any accounting or budget issues. Provides information and assistance to internal and external customers. Other duties as assigned such as Travel expense reports, switchboard and loading dock coverage. This position works to promote the health and safety of the residents of Cobb and Douglas Counties.
Essential Functions Included (but are not limited to):
Minimum Qualifications: Associate degree in a business curriculum or related field from an accredited college or
university OR High school diploma or GED AND Two years of experience performing accounting and/or fiscal control functions.
Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Effective oral and written communication skills. Experience in supporting management.
Work Conditions & Physical Demands:
General office environment.
Salary Information: $37,108 Annually / Pay Grade G
