The City of Winterville, Georgia has openings for both part-time and full-time police officers. The Winterville Police Department serves a primarily residential community with a population of 1,200 in Athens-Clarke County.

This position requires:

- Standard community patrol and regular interaction with citizens.

- Weekends a must for part-time position.

 

Full-time position salary: $42,000/yr (commensurate with experience/certifications)

Part-time position hourly: $24/hr 

 

Minimum qualifications:

• 5 years of experience preferred in law enforcement work.

• Law enforcement certification requirements as set forth in Georgia law.

• Valid Georgia driver’s license.

• Successful completion of background and reference checks

• Radar Certification
