Are you passionate and looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity as an Intern for the City Manager's Office?

The City of Johns Creek is seeking an Intern to support the City Manager's Office. The Intern will assist the department with a wide range of tasks, including:

  • Conducting policy research and developing a multi-modal prioritization policy to improve non-vehicular connectivity throughout the City.
  • Assistance in developing the structure for the new "Johns Creek University" program, which will mimic university life and involvement.
  • Research surrounding municipalities' approach to EV + make policy recommendations for implementation.
  • Assistance in developing criteria and planning implementation for a Green Business certification program.
  • And other local government programs or policy-related projects as assigned.

Note: This seasonal position will end on September 30, 2024, and is not eligible for benefits.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Basic knowledge and understanding of Public Administration/Public Policy
  • Perform accurate and timely data entry
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of individuals
  • Strong writing skills, ability to synthesize and present research
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current graduate school student with a concentration in Public Administration or Public Policy.
