The City of Johns Creek is seeking an Intern to support the Finance Department. The Intern will assist the department with a wide range of projects, including:

Revenue Division:

• Gathering missing e-mail contacts (Stormwater, Business Occupancy Tax, Pouring Permits, Alcohol Beverage Licenses, etc.)
• Revise forms and internal documents
• Mail - open, date stamp, sort and distribute

Budget Division:

• Compiling Packets for Budget Meetings and Budget Books
• Reviewing Documents

General Accounting:

• Assistance with Bank Implementation to JPMorgan Chase
• Gathering missing e-mail contacts for Vendor cards
• Help sort and organize the Internal "V" Drive Finance Folder

Note: This seasonal position will end on September 30, 2024, and is not eligible for benefits.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Basic knowledge and understanding of General Accounting
• Perform accurate and timely data entry
• Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of individuals

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Current college student or recent graduate with a concentration in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
