Job Summary: Are you passionate about justice and administration? We invite you to apply for the Assistant Court Clerk position at the City of Johns Creek. Essential Job Functions:

  • Manage citation intake and case documentation, ensuring meticulous record-keeping in our advanced case management system.
  • Prepare comprehensive court dockets for various proceedings, ensuring all paperwork is thoroughly organized and readily accessible.
  • Support judicial officers during hearings and trials, contributing to fair and efficient case adjudication.
  • Coordinate the preparation of legal documents such as orders, warrants, and subpoenas as needed.
  • Maintain and update court records in compliance with state regulations, ensuring records are meticulously archived and accessible.
  • Engage with community members, attorneys, and stakeholders courteously and knowledgeably regarding court proceedings and inquiries.
  • Handle financial transactions with accuracy, including fines, fees, and bond payments, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.


Education and Experience:

  • Required: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Preferred: Associate's Degree in Legal Studies or related field.
  • Experience: Two (2) years in a Court Clerk's office or courtroom/bench support role; five (5) years preferred.

Licenses or Certifications:

  • GCIC certification with experience in Computerized Criminal History (CCH) dispositions.
  • GCIC - TAC certification preferred, with knowledge of management.
