Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Fixed Asset Accountant at Fulton County Government. The Fixed Asset Accountant will be responsible for performing day-to-day tasks related to fixed assets, including maintaining fixed asset database, managing journal entries for accounting purposes, preparing financial statements related fixed assets, calculating depreciation of fixed assets, tracking, recording transactions, conducting physical counts, and county, state, and federal compliance as it related to fixed assets. This role is primarily located in Atlanta, GA, with the flexibility for some remote work.

Relevant skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• (3) years of experience in tracking, calculating depreciation, recording transactions, conducting physical counts, compliance, and reporting of fixed assets
• Strong understanding of GAAP Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and familiarity of (IFRS) International Financial Reporting Standards)
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills: ability to collaborate effectively through cross-functional teams
• Ability to prioritize and and manage multiple tasks in fast-paced environment
