Listing Summary

The City of Loganville Police Department is accepting applications for a full-time Police Property and Evidence Technician. This is a non-sworn position and will be responsible for a variety of functions including intake, storage, classification and disposition of police property; packaging and delivery of evidence to the GBI Crime Lab; and obtaining court orders for the seizure, forfeiture and destruction of evidence. This position will entail daily handling of seized currency, narcotics and firearms requiring the utmost level of personal integrity.

Minimum Qualifications:

  •  High School Diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred;
  •  Must posess valid Georgia driver’s license;
  •  Excellent written communications skills;
  •  Outstanding customer service skills; must be able to interact effectively with the general public and co-workers;
  •  Ability to lift and move objects weighing +/- 50 lbs independently.

Preferred Qualifications:  Experience working in a governmental or public safety enviornment and basic knowledge of police procedures. Knowledge of law enforcement specific database programs to include Courtware, RMS and Justice One highly desireable.
