This position is responsible for directing, coordinating, and overseeing the preconstruction aspects and assisting the construction aspects of the County Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) transportation projects within the Department of Transportation, in accordance with SPLOST requirements and all applicable policies and procedures .Grade 22/ $75,821.68-115,371.65 annual

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field.

 

  • Sufficient experience to thoroughly understand the diverse requirements to administer preconstruction aspects of transportation projects utilizing local, state, and federal guidelines, usually interpreted to require five to seven years of related experience.

 

  • Any combination of education, training and experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities, required for the job.

 

  • Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Civil Engineering or a related field.

 

  • Certification as a Professional Engineer or Engineer in Training.
