Water Distribution Supervisor for Water Works - Harris County
Harris County, Georgia, population 36,000 and located in west central Georgia along the Alabama border 60 minutes southwest of Atlanta, 30 minutes north of Columbus, and home to Callaway Resort and Gardens and FDR State Park, is accepting applications for a Water Distribution Supervisor for the County. This full-time position, under the direction of the County Manager and the Water Works Director, is responsible for providing safe drinking water to the public. The department has 9,500 water customers, 27 full-time positions, and an annual budget of $8M. This position will:
Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and at least five years of related experience, or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the work. The position requires the possession of or ability to obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated, and possession of or ability to readily obtain an appropriate state-certified license for water or wastewater treatment of distribution as appropriate. CPR and OSHA Trench Safety Certifications preferred.
The starting salary is $27.67 per hour, plus generous benefits including a five-year vesting schedule for retirement.
