EMS Shift Supervisor

Harris County, Georgia, population 36,000 and located in west central Georgia along the Alabama border 60 minutes southwest of Atlanta, 30 minutes north of Columbus, and home to Callaway Resort and Gardens and FDR State Park, is accepting applications for a Shift Supervisor for Emergency Medical Services.

This full-time position, under the direction of the Chief of EMS, is responsible for providing daily oversight of a respective shift along with enforcing policies, procedures, and protocols and maintaining discipline within the ranks of the shift.

Minimum qualifications include a Baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field required; and more than four years of related experience required; or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the work.  Must possess or have the ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.  Must possess or have the ability to readily obtain appropriate state EMS certification as a Georgia Licensed Paramedic.

The starting rate of pay is $33.82 per hour, plus generous benefits including professional development and a five-year vesting schedule for retirement.
