SALARY INFORMATION:  $73,759.76 Annually / Pay Grade N / Job Code ITP042

DUTIES: Under broad supervision, installs, configures, and supports a local area network, wide area network, internet system, computers, desktops and/or mobile devices. Performs necessary maintenance to support network availability.Performs job responsibilities with minimal supervision. Advises management on the technical feasibility and critical factors in the adaptation of automated systems to the service delivery. Analyzes operations to determine business requirements and needs. Designs, configures, and tests computer hardware, networking software and operating system software. Determines clients' network requirements and recommends optimum network solutions.  Diagnoses hardware and software problems, replace defective components. Monitors network performance to determine whether adjustments need to be made. Operates consoles to monitor performance of the computer systems and networks, and to coordinate computer network access and use. Performs data backups and disaster recovery operations. Performs routine network startup and shutdown procedures and maintain control records.  Plans, coordinates, and implements network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware. Serves as job expert or organization resource in assigned area.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma/GED and two (2) years of experience at the lower-level Systems Administrator 2 (ITP041) or position equivalent.
