NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS

 

The Douglas County Board of Commissioners (Board) is seeking sealed bids for the construction of a new Douglas County Senior Center located at 6287 Fairburn Road  Douglasville, GA 30134.

 

The Architect for this project is Jericho Design Group located at 208 Pirkle Ferry Road, Suite C Cumming, GA 30040

 

All information for interested bidders and bidding documents may be obtained from the Douglas County website https://www.bidnetdirect.com/georgia/douglascounty.

 

Bidder’s must register and submit electronic bids at https://www.bidnetdirect.com/georgia/douglascounty.

A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for10 AM EST on  Tuesday October 15, 2024 at Fairburn Road Senior Center, 6287 Fairburn Road Douglasville, Georgia 30134.

 

Responses to this ITB must be received electronically via Douglas County BidNet’s online bidding platform on or before FRIDAY, November 1, 2024, 2:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time, after which time and date they will no longer be accepted. 

 

Copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained at the office of Jericho Design Group, 208 Pirkle Ferry Road, Suite C, Cumming, Georgia 30040; telephone 470-313-6356. Bids will be received from registered plan holders only. By obtaining the Contract Documents purchaser agrees to have their company

 

Information provided on request as a “plan-holder.”

 

Bidders will be required to provide Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond for 5% of the amount of the bid submitted with the proposal.

 

Refer to other bidding requirements described in Document 002116– Instructions to Bidders.

 

Submit your offer on the Bidding Form provided. Bidders may supplement this form as appropriate.

This project is being funded in part by a grant from the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Bidders and subcontractors must comply with Federal requirements relating to equal opportunity and to the Davis Bacon Act, Kopeland Anti- kickback Act, Executive orders 11246 and 11375, Civil Rights Act of 1964, Section 3 of the Urban Development Act of 1968 as well as other Federal Regulations as contained in the Project Manual.

 

This is a Section 3 Covered Project under the HUD Act of 1968 and Section 3 Residents And Business Concerns are encouraged to apply.

The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids if it appears in the Owner’s best interest to do so. Bids submitted from the three apparent lowest bidders shall be held by the Owner for a period of 60 days from the receipt of Bids unless an extension past 60 days is acceptable to the Bidder.
