SALARY INFORMATION:  $35,000 Annually / Pay Grade I / Job Code FET041

DUTIES: The Inventory Specialist will be responsible for inventory planning duties associated with agency divisions, offices, departments, and programs and one (1) centralized warehouse. Under general supervision has the responsibility for verifying and updating information on tangible non-capital (under $5,000) assets, including, but not limited to furniture, equipment, IT equipment, e.g., laptops, printers, and capital assets (over $5,000) in inventory and asset management system and responding to basic inquiries. Responsible for understanding requirements of the DeKalb Public Health (DKPH) assets life cycle. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma/GED and two (2) years of job-related experience in inventory, purchasing, or supply chain management; or one (1) year of experience at the lower-level Purchasing Agent 1 (FET040) or equivalent position

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

A successful Inventory Specialist is required to have skills and qualifications of exceptional organizational, strong computer, excellent time management, good communications, attention to detail, excellent problem-solving, and strong decision making. Completion of specialized training course in inventory management or inventory computer software is considered.

One (1) year of related warehouse or inventory control experience. Must possess or can obtain by the time of hire, a valid Georgia driver’s license.
