Putnam County Board of Commissioners is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Golf Services Assistant.

This position works with the Golf Services Manager to provide the patrons of Uncle Remus Golf Course with great golf experience. Various duties include but are not limited to opening and preparing the clubhouse, golf carts, and range for patrons. Operating point of sale equipment, taking payments, answering pro-shop phone, creating tee times, assisting patrons with directions and preparing for their round, assisting patrons with merchandising selection, stocking merchandise and concessions, preparing concessions, cleaning the clubhouse, cleaning driving range, preparing range buckets, closing the clubhouse, reconciling cash drawer, sending blitz reports, and other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications include a valid Georgia driver’s license, good attitude, willingness to learn, and self-motivation. Applicants must have the ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and lift at least 25 pounds, and must have the ability work independently and as part of a team. Applicants must also be able to work in various outdoor conditions including heat, sun, rain, and wind. Weekends and holidays are required on a rotating schedule. This is a full-time position with pay commensurate with experience based on the current county pay-scale, and access to medical, dental, and retirement benefits.
