Capital Project Manager

Listing Summary

The position is responsible for the comprehensive management of all projects funded by the Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST). This includes overseeing project planning, budgeting, execution, and reporting. The Capital Project Manager ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field.

 

  • At least 5 years of experience in project management, preferably with experience in public sector infrastructure projects. Experience with Capital Project programs, SPLOST, or similar funding mechanisms is highly desirable

 

  • Any combination of education, training and experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities, required for the job.

 

  • Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.

 

  • Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Certification as a Professional Engineer, Engineer in Training or Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification is preferred.
