This position is responsible for coordinating the administrative functions of the Human Resources Department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provides general clerical support to the Human Resources Manager.
Process internal job postings and external advertisements for open positions.
Check work references of potential candidates, process background checks; education verification, and schedule pre-employment drug screenings.
Coordinates benefits processing for new hires, current employees, and retirees.
Maintains departmental filing systems.
Responsible for data entry into the HRIS system and with other data entry needs of the department (onboarding new hires, benefits, etc.).
Responsible for processing electronic payroll for all departments.
Assist with orientation as needed.
Prepares new hire packets when needed.
Maintains employee files and records; responsible for scanning electronic employee files and records into Neogov; and filing paper copies of appropriate documents into employee retirement/pension files as well.
Assists with annual benefits fair/open enrollment processes.
Assists with the wellness program and employee engagement.
Prepares Open Records Requests as needed.
Assists with annual employee engagement events, such as Employee Picnic, Employee Holiday, and Awards Luncheon.
