The City of Johns Creek seeks dynamic, giving, team-player individuals to join our team as full-time Firefighter Recruits who want to become full-time Firefighter EMTs after training. We will prepare you to face all hands-on situations, from properly fighting fires to handling medical calls in an intense training program. Training is scheduled to start in March of 2025.

WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE A FIREFIGHTER RECRUIT Get ready to take your first step towards a thrilling career in the fire service! As a non-sworn Firefighter Recruit, you will receive top-notch training and support to develop the knowledge, skills, and physical capabilities necessary to excel in this demanding field. But that's not all; you will also attend EMT/AEMT training, expanding your capabilities and enhancing your value as a first responder. A promotion to a sworn Firefighter - EMT position awaits those who successfully complete both trainings and receive the final stamp of approval from our Fire Chief.
YOUR SCHEDULE
During training, you work 80 hours/week, Monday - Friday. After becoming full-time status, you work a 24-hour rotation with 10 shifts/month. Please note that this position will start in March of 2025.
