Glynn County, Georgia is recruiting for the position Senior Planner. Senior Planner is responsible for the review of development applications for compliance with county codes and ordinances and to perform advanced professional planning and zoning duties.
Provides information and technical assistance to citizens, property owners, land developers, contractors, architects, development review team, staff members, the media or other individuals/agencies regarding planning/zoning issues, codes/ordinances, building permits, plan reviews, procedures, forms, or other issues; responds to routine questions or complaints; researches problems and initiates problem resolution; meets with customers as requested.
Glynn County is located along the Atlantic coast in south-eastern Georgia, midway between Savannah, Georgia and Jacksonville, Florida.
The area ranks as one of the top tourist destinations in the nation. Known as “The Golden Isles”, the county’s main-land is surrounded by barrier islands including Jekyll Island, Saint Simons Island and Sea Island. Featuring 207 holes of golf, as well as beautiful beaches on the islands, this coastal location is a haven for residents and visitors alike. Glynn County is easily accessible via Interstate-95, US Route 17, US Route 82 & US Route 341, as well as two airports (Brunswick Golden Isles Airport and McKinnon Saint Simons Island Airport).

The hiring range for this position is $61,276 to $97,988.
