MUNICIPAL COURT SOLICITOR (APPOINTED, PART-TIME POSITION)

Represents the municipality in all cases involving traffic offenses, city ordinance violations, and misdemeanors which occur within the city limits. Municipal court solicitor must meet the following requirements:

• Be licensed to practice law in Georgia

• Be a member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia

• Experience serving as a part-time criminal court judge or solicitor or attorney with significant experience in criminal defense preferred

At present, court convenes bi-monthly; frequency is subject to change depending on caseload.
