General Definition of Work:
Manages recruitment, employee wellness and engagement strategies, provides human resources operational support, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the supervision of the Director of Human Resources.

Position Responsibilities:

Recruiting and Onboarding

  • Manage the full recruiting lifecycle, working closely with hiring managers to gain understanding of their departments, hiring needs, and job specifications;
  • Primary responsibility for completion of tasks detailed in employee onboarding and off-boarding;
  • Update organization chart and employee communication tools with employee and Board Member edits;
  • Prepare new employee and promotion communications. 

Employee Engagement and Wellness

  • Primary responsibility for planning, execution, and evaluation of employee engagement and wellness initiatives and events;
  • Partner with colleagues to develop, launch, and continuously improve ACCG culture building strategies, initiatives, and programs.

Administrative Support

  • Assist with open enrollment, benefits, and other personnel related data administration;
  • Mail and electronically file documents as apparent and needed;
  • Support internal and external communications by preparing and posting articles, taking photos, and developing ideas.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills; ability to simplify and clearly explain complicated issues in writing and orally; 
  • Ability to plan, organize and direct effective assistance to the association's programs; 
  • Ability to manage time and work independently while paying close attention to detail; strong critical evaluation and organizational skills; 
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, elected and appointed officials, local government staff, consultants, and the general public;
  • Skill in the use of office software applications, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel; 
  • Proven success in conducting interviews using various methods (phone, video, email, in-person); experience in developing recruitment strategy.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 
  • Intermediate level (over 5 years) human resources skill and experience, including progressive experience in recruiting. 

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly requires sitting and reaching with hands and arms;
  • Requires the occasional exertion of up to 10 pounds of force; 
  • Has standard vision requirements; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; 
  • Frequently requires speaking or hearing, using hands to finger, handle or feel and repetitive motions and requires standing, walking and lifting; 
  • Requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data, operating motor vehicles or equipment and observing general surroundings and activities; 
  • Negligible exposure to environmental conditions; work is occasionally in a moderately noisy location (e.g. business office, light traffic).
