As an IT Business Partner (ITBP), you will advise an assigned Service Center on a broad range of technology issues, with the goal of improving their business operations. You will convey our technology vision in order to help take advantage of existing technology and evolving innovations to assist in meeting efficiency goals.
You will gather information about any technological challenges and needs and use that insight to suggest solutions and services for your assigned Service Center. An ITBP will focus on recommendations that will streamline operations, increase efficiency, or boost productivity.
Being the primary point of contact for leadership and Directors within the Service Center, the ITBP will strive to promote the existing IT services and capabilities with a view to aligning the functional needs with our technology strategies to maximize the benefits of technology.

Essential Job Functions:
Serve as the primary day-to-day IT contact for assigned departments.
Act as a liaison between ITS and assigned departments to ensure IT solutions meet business needs.
Moderate regular meetings with assigned departments to ensure effective communication and transparency
Provide or coordinate technical support for IT-related issues within the assigned departments.
Collaborate with external vendors and ITS regarding technology solutions and services.
Manage customer relationships to meet ITS expectations of customer experience and quality.
Evaluate business processes and determine appropriate technology solutions.
Ensure data security and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Train staff on new technologies and systems.
Develop and maintain documentation related to IT procedures, systems, and configurations.
Actively participates in annual budget planning around technology with assigned departments
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field from an accredited college or university supplemented by four (4) years of professional business analysis experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities.
Strong technical learning aptitude.
Strong problem-solving abilities to address technical challenges and improve business processes.
Adaptability to changing technology landscapes and business needs.
Good interpersonal skills with department office staff.
Work management skills related to managing fast-paced working environments.
Preferred Qualifications
.Previous experience working within any City service center(s)
Work Location: 802 W. Anderson St, Laurel Grove North Work Hours: 8 am - 5 pm
Additional Requirements
Background investigation, including supervised drug screen, post offer/pre-employment medical screen; and verification of education, certifications, and licenses required prior to employment.
Microsoft certification(s)
Experience with technology projects
Demonstrably high standards in a fast-paced work environment
Able to work with an appropriate sense of urgency
Ability to define solution benefits effectively to nontechnical management
Hands-on experience with the Smartsheet platform
Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform
Understanding the concepts of the PMI model for project management
