The City of Stone Mountain is seeking vendor quotes for land clearing and landscaping services to be performed at 6751 James B. Rivers Drive, Stone Mountain, Georgia (Parcel ID: 18 126 18 062). The parcel is a 0.39 acre plot that is currently overgrown and is under an active nuisance abatement order from the Municipal Court of the City of Stone Mountain.
Scope of Work:
The selected vendor will be required to provide the following services:
- Abatement of Invasive Species:
- Removal of kudzu and other invasive plant species.
- Clearing of Vegetation and Debris:
- Removal of all brush, bramble, weeds, vines, small trees, fallen limbs, and any debris.
- Removal of Unsafe Trees:
- Removal of mature trees deemed weak, unstable, diseased, or unsafe. This includes trees that inhibit the growth of healthier trees.
- Right-of-Way Cleaning:
- Clear and clean the rights-of-way between the edge of the parcel and the street or sidewalk.
- Grading and Drainage:
- Grade the parcel to ensure proper drainage.
- Erosion Control:
- Install appropriate erosion control measures, such as grass seeding, straw, and silt fencing.
- Disposal of Debris:
- Chipped and shredded plant material may be left onsite if mixed into the topsoil, excluding kudzu, pinecones, or any plants capable of seeding during the process.
- All other debris will be removed from property.
Proposal Requirements:
Your proposal should include the following information:

- A detailed description of your company’s qualifications and relevant experience with similar land clearing and landscaping projects.
- Project Timeline:
- An estimated schedule for completion, including start and end dates, if awarded the contract.

- Provide references or examples of similar projects completed within the local area. Include contact information for past clients who can attest to the quality of your work.
- Pricing Structure:
- A detailed breakdown of costs associated with the project, including labor, materials, and any additional fees. Clearly indicate if there are any optional services or charges.
Evaluation Criteria:
Quotes will be evaluated based on the following factors:
