Chatham County is seeking a Purchasing and Contracting Director who can drive innovation and excellence while fostering a culture of collaboration and integrity within our community.

Example of duties include departmental management and operations, procurement oversight, purchase order management, staff development and supervision, the development of procurement documents including contracts and solicitations, supervision of the minority and women-owned business coordinator/program, use of the web portal to communicate with vendors and manage solicitations, and agenda item preparation for the Board of Commissioner meetings. 

Purchasing and Contracting is a stand-alone department within the County's governance structure. This position is supervised by the Assistant County Manager who directly reports to the County Manager.
