The Market Development Representative is responsible for assisting Member municipal natural gas systems in the marketing and promotion of natural gas utilization in a specific region. Activities include planning, setting objectives, and the development of programs such as rebate and financing programs and effective communication plans.  Programs, projects, and services focus on assisting and interacting with key partners in the gas appliance supply chain (i.e., property developers, builders, Plumbers, HVAC dealers, appliance retailers, engineers and architects, and retail customers) to promote the utilization of natural gas applications and services.  Market focuses are the residential, commercial and agriculture markets and includes educating customers and key partners on the benefits of natural gas. In addition, assisting in the development, utilization, and promotion of other Gas Authority services including Natural Gas Connection, the Emerging Technology Program, and Customer Growth Planning as requested by Members. Sales skills and interpersonal skills are critical for this role. This position requires a willingness to develop an understanding of natural gas applications and some business background. It will include training in energy and municipal rates & analysis, and gas applications. The Market Development Representative position supports Member cities and serves multiple Member accounts.
