The Burke County Board of Commissioners is seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to serve as the Public Works Director.

The Public Works Director oversees the development, maintenance, and improvement of the County’s public infrastructure, including roads, bridges, drainage systems, and rights-of-way. This leadership position reports directly to the County Manager and is an integral part of the County’s management team.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

· A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a relevant occupational area.

· Proven work experience as a Public Works Director, Construction Superintendent, or in a similar leadership position.
