Grant Specialist

The Coastal Regional Commission (CRC), an EEO Employer, is a coastal Georgia based organization serving ten counties and thirty-five cities with planning, transportation, and aging services. Our Planning and Government Services Department is announcing a new job opening for a Grant Specialist. The Grant Specialist will work closely with local governments on advanced, highly complex grant writing and administration activities. The Grant Specialist will:

  • Prepare grant applications to funding agencies
  • Manage successful grant awards for both construction and non-construction projects
  • Provide staff support to local governments
  • Serve as liaison between CRC and external organizations

The ideal candidate must meet the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s preferred or four years related experience
  • Minimum two years of grant writing or administration experience
  • Knowledge of available funding opportunity, grant writing, and grant administration processes
  • Knowledge of applicable state and federal laws
  • Proficient in interpreting federal and state regulations
  • Proficient in the use of computers and Office 365 software
  • Superior, demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail, solid organization skills, and self-motivated.
