The City of Pembroke Public Safety Department is accepting applications for a full-time, entry-level Georgia P.O.S.T Certified Police Officer. Minimum requirements: high school graduate or equivalent; possession of a valid Georgia driver’s license; ability to meet current requirements set forth in the Georgia Mandated Law Enforcement Training Act/POST, possession, or ability to readily obtain GCIC/NCIC certification. Must be 21 years of age. Must also be able to pass an extensive background investigation, psychological exam, and polygraph exam. Must take and pass a drug screening. Must be able to work 12-hour shifts (day, night, overnight, holidays, overtime). English language preferred; bilingual ability a plus. Starting pay $20.50/hour with generous benefit plan. The primary responsibility of a Police Officer is to protect life and property, preserve law and order, and keep the peace.
